The Scariest Day Ever . . . So Far – Book Review

The Scariest Day Ever . . . So Far – Book Review
Friday is a Cat… A Scaredy Cat! Friday faces his fears of new things in this book. It’s a good story for Halloween, but has a good message that can be used anytime to help those who are nervous or fearful.

Friday the Scaredy Cat and The Scariest Day Ever…so Far by Kara McMahon and illustrated cy Maddy McClellan.

There are so many new things in Friday’s house. New things and new noises! There is a new bed, a new bow, a new toy mouse…

He hides behind the curtains and peek around the corners. He is just a bit nervous to see so many new things… what can they possibly mean?

Maybe there is a monster and he needs to be careful... Maybe he will hide in the closet… Maybe he will hide behind the sofa…

Time passes and he doesn’t see any more new things. Whew! But…now he smells something new. You can laugh along with Friday then join with him as he meets the new addition to the family.

A good book to read when mom is going to have a baby, it may help open dialogue about a new little sister.

This is a level 1 Ready-to-Read story for ages 4-6. Preschool to 1st grade.

Note: I bought this book to mail to a grandchild, it was such a hit I had to buy it for another grandchild in another family.
